Our 100th Video! Just to try something new I thought I'd talk about my trip to Mount Everest Base Camp. We hope that this little jumble of images, information, tools, and travel tips to help motivate to go out and see for yourself NOTE: - Please understand that the photos in this presentation is not necessarily what they say in track meet audio. - This video is based on personal experiences and review of my old diary entries. If a testsimilar trip, I recommend their research to prepare for the trip. NOTES: - Need a visa to stay in Nepal. These can be purchased when you arrive at Kathmandu airport. This will cost you $ 50-60us. Bring cash, since there are no cars available. - Upon arrival you will be attacked by a mob of taxi drivers who take to their hotel (imagine a movie star to be blown by the paparazzi and you have the idea) would like. Make a reservation at a place beforecome to this to avoid trouble. Kathmandu Guest House is the most famous square and is easily accessible. - Spend a day looking for different companies and make driving a lot of questions in advance to get ready to make an informed decision. A package of two weeks with flights to and from Lukla, guide, meals, lodging and rental I invested $ 800US. - Light.Dress Pack in layers.
