Yes, Ohio, 5 Ohio State's most populous home of the Cleveland Browns, large cellar, which run along the shore of Lake Erie, the Crooked River (Cuyahoga) caught fire in the 80's, beautiful parks, which have 30 + sandstone cliffs, often climbing from near and far, home of the OSU Buckeyes, the headquarters of Goodyear, Amish villages and home of the Bridgestone Invitational, among many other things, the home of the Cuyahoga Valley NationalPark
The Cuyahoga Valley National Park is located on the same list of national parks of the United States with Yellowstone, Yosemite, Big Bend, The Black Canyon and the Grand Canyon and many others. The Cuyahoga Valley National Park has so much history and beauty as other popular national parks. But like Ohio, the Cuyahoga Valley National Park is unpopular and underestimated the average traveler.
The Cuyahoga Valley National Park has more than 32,000 hectares and was designated asNational Park in 1974 by Gerald Ford, John Seiberling, whose grandparents were supported FA & Gertrude Seiberling (founder of Goodyear) when you start the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. A large part of the Cuyahoga Valley National Park Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath, which is over 80 miles of hiking trails has.
Ohio & Erie Canal began in 1825 and ran through the construction of 2 years. The main purpose of the Erie Canal and Ohio was, goods and services from Cleveland Cinncinnati then transport theOhio River to the Mississippi River to the Gulf of Mexico. The members of this organization created called a walk-jog-bike trails Ohio & Erie Towpath Trail in Cleveland and will be ready when the construction will be in New Philadelphia, which begins about 100 miles from the endPaths. Currently, over 80 miles of towpath offers outdoor fun that watching too great photographic opportunities, bird watching, observing nature and people. Declining visitors have the opportunity to see beautiful foliage in autumn and summer visitors stunning, high-flying eagles Herron & blue make the nest in trees near to see. But what happens if you do not want to be the kind of outdoor activities and off the track, but still want to take all the sights and sounds of the park? Now you have options.
The Cuyahoga Valley National Park offers visitors a panoramic train for two hours through the park offers guided tours. Starting @ only $ 10.00, visitors can be taken away to see the natural beauty of the parks and jogging along the towpath wave hop on board e. But for those adults who want to relax andenjoy a libation or two can also be toured Ales Rails or lift the Grape Escape Tour. Ales on Rails is the tour, several samples of beer and teaches visitors about the appearance, aroma, body, flavor, finish and beer. There is also a professional chef on board, served some tasty morsels. If the beer is not for you well, you can also use the "Grape Escape" tour. This tour is about 5 tastings of different wines, and also teaches guests of the "legs", & BodyFine wine. But before the guests to enjoy their wine, they begin treatment with cheese and crackers. My favorite place in the tour is the CVNP Falls / Stanford Hostel Brandywine Trail. Brandywine Falls is a waterfall that cascades 60 feet over layers of sandstone. The falls offer a breathtaking view of the waterfront year. Explosions of red leaves, yellow and orange backdrop for the events in the fall. Snowflakes dance on the water and form ice around the falls in the months and WinerIn spring and summer flowers and flower buds offers a lot of bright colors to reach the falls. It 'just an absolutely amazing to see. But there is more then the falls at first glance.
Brandywine is formed around 350-400000000 years. The slate rocks, behind the falls were once mud on the ocean floor, eventually formed as the water eroded the rocks. The cases are carved from the Brandywine Creek. But fast forward in time until 19Century and the falls could be used to power mills and create a vibrant town, one of the first settlements in the Cuyahoga Valley. Unfortunately, the city has finally become isolated from the Interstate 271 highway construction
The Stanford Hostel is a part of the route Brandywine Falls, which creates a loop of 4 miles of steep hills and medium difficulty turns on the road. The Stanford Hostel is in Sagamore Hills as well as the right side and isthe right of the towpath trail. The hostel is a Stanford greek revival house in 1843, farmers of Connecticut, who was near the region of the Western Reserve in Ohio built transferred. The house was bought by CVNP in 1978 and is open all year for viewing. There are several ways in which so many CVNP too many to list, but I will give you a brief overview of some other ways that are amazing as Brandywine Falls.
The Blue Hen Falls Trail is located near Brandywine Falls and is known in the area of Sagamorewell. This trail is 1.2 miles round trip. These cases are not so big but still beautiful. Blossom is also a wonderful July 4th symphony of booming cannons and a nice, followedFireworks. Porthouse Theatre, which is a part of the flower, invites you to immerse yourself in art and enjoy a little 'in Broadway shows like Chicago, The West Side Story, Sunshine Boys, and Hello Dolly. Another fun and educational activities, which is located inside CVNP Hale Farm.
Hale Farm is a small village "made-in-time" in the area of the peninsula, which is located between Akron and Cleveland Blossom Music Center since. Hale Farm is an old pre civil war settlement founded by Jonathan Hale. JonathanHale was a farmer in Connecticut that his family moved to Ohio in 1810 for better opportunities. Three generations of the family has lived on this land until after the Civil War. The Western Reserve Historical Society to preserve this country more than 50 years ago and turned it into a living museum with 19 st Century, a period dressed actors who spin, weave, cook and make candles, as in the 19 st Century would be. Visitors can learn the games that children in this time and played really see what washappy to live in this time. There are still cows roaming the fields, sheep and horses trot the same area along the dirt roads of the village. Hale Farm & Village is one of the National Register of Historic Places in Summit County, Ohio. It 'a fun and educational to visit. Hale Farm is also the road from an old covered bridge, built in 1870. There used to be over 10,000 covered bridges in the United States, but currently there are only a fewhundred left. The first is the shared barbecue Hoggy Valley View OH, directly from the towpath trail. Hoggy restaurant is like a big red barn and your bike to bike to come from a long park on the towpath. Now, this is the perfect place to pig (no pun intended) out! It takes a little 'surprising pounds of cheeseFrench fries, tasty ribs with sweet spicy sauce and covered BBQ, sides and homemade cakes, moist cakes and pies. Do not leave here hungry or unsatisfied. This restaurant is delicious!
Later, another of my favorite restaurants is on the trail towpath is Winking Lizard, which is located in the center of Peninsula, Ohio, right next to the Century Cycles Bicycle Rental. This place is always packed, especially in summer. Winking Lizard looks like a small wooden shack with a deviceVeranda, and surprisingly inviting smells from the sludge restaurant for your olfactory glands. And 'right next to the runway of Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad and the parking lot behind old time sitting in stationary cars. But as I said the restaurant next to Century Bike Hire is a great place for dinner after a long trail ride. Winking Lizard is mainly for the wings, pizza, beer and burgers known, but I love spinach and artichoke dip their wraps.I like the heavy stuff fat, but I really like the dips and chips. Even if you walk in, there is an old popcorn machine that will always serve fresh popcorn that the host brings to the table. Winking Lizard has a full bar inside and served with some excellent mixed drinks. This is a really great restaurant full throat after a lot of calories burned on the towpath trail.
Finally I would like to Scorchers, a wing of the municipality is located in the valley, part of Akron is the speechOhio and is situated on the towpath trail. Scorchers Wing magazine recently merged and is now a part of the Wing Warehouse. Scorchers is really full-bodied drip with a variety of tasty sauces and spicy. Scorchers also serves as the "dry rub" wing, the big ones are. The appetizers are great and here they are: fresh French fries, potato skins loaded and fried mushrooms. Scorchers has a full bar and serves fresh draft beer and other libations to quench your thirst. There are pool tables and dartsTables to speak after eating. Now, after a long day of hiking and enjoy a great meal I bet you are ready, in the series!
Two places I would recommend the Sheraton Suites on Front Street in Cuyahoga Falls, Brandywine Falls and the Inn @. The Sheraton Suites is located directly across the Cuyahoga River and falls. The hotel is also near Route 8, which is held in a few minutes CVNP. Rooms from about $ 150 dollars a night. Subsequently, the Inn is @ Brandywine Falls. The historicbed and breakfast was built in 1848 and is on the National Register of Historic Places in Sagamore Hills, Ohio. The inn overlooks the fact Brandywine Falls. The B & B has 6 guest rooms with antique furniture and Ohio. The hosts serve a fresh cooked breakfast every morning to treat their guests and, as if the host is at home.
